In this episode, Silvia is seemingly let go from Jadow and meets up with Joe once again, but it turns out to be a chameleon woman in disguise, who tricks Joe into giving her his V-watch. This episode has panning shots of Sprocket in it, so you know what that means.
When Sprocket enters Silvia's room in the first scene, a panning shot of her in the English version is replaced with a close-up from a previous episode.
When Joe is recounting to Silvia that he thought he saw her before, he mentions the transphobic scene from episode 6 and the disguised Bianky in the same episode. Just like in episode 6, the transphobic part is cut. Interestingly the hit flashes from that same episode aren't there. Do you not have to do that if it's a flashback or something?
Expo Dub: "Oh that's right. You weren't there. I THOUGHT you were there... and I ran around like a total nutjob trying to find you... And then I did find you, see... Except..."
This is for the viewers that might've missed that episode. I think it's a lot better this way, since it's him explaining to the alleged Silvia why he's apprehensive and it adds something to scenes from an episode we already saw.
Then it's uncut until Sprocket shows up at the coliseum, but even then Sprocket and her unzipped suit is kept in some scenes, I assume because those shots she's at just the right angles so as not to need changes. That said...
When she's looking at the fight after the chameleon woman turns into a Jedi, a close-up panning shot of Sprocket is once again replaced, first with a close-up of Silvia from later in this episode and then one of Sprocket from a previous episode. The panning shot also showed Silvia being pinned down by Biankies so they needed to add that too for the dub.
There's a hit flash when Joe is spiked into the ground, but that's the only one in the whole episode.
In the Japanese version, Sprocket commands the Biankies to go after Silvia by pointing. In the English version the shot of the camera going above her head cuts her pointing out because that would've been hard to edit her suit around.
When Silvia is cornered, a close-up of Sprocket is kept, but the English version zooms it in a little so as to cover her chest at the bottom of the frame.
Joe posing with his handsign for his introduction is cut again.
A panning shot of Sprocket walking in anger is cut and replaced with previous shots of Sprocket walking so only the last parts of the panning shot with her face is shown.
For the same reason, Sprocket leaning down to ask the scared Biankies what's wrong is cut.
You'll notice all but one image of cut shots are of Sprocket. Those and something already cut out of a previous episode, plus one handsign instance were it. I was expecting at least one more time cut. Did they save that much cutting that bit out of the flashback?
