Commission Guidelines

Have you read my work, but wish I wrote about something in particular?  Well, if Harlan Ellison taught us anything, it's that AI will be the death of humanity and writers should be paid.

You can pay me to write about a game, anime, board game or other piece of pop culture of your choice.  The way how is simple: go to my Ko-Fi page and make a donation with a message of what it is you'd like me to write about.  My pay rate for these commissions is variable, at least for now.

At the barest minimum, the donation for the request must cover the expense for the requested subject.  That means if you want me to review a smaller indie game that's only $20, it will need to be at least $20.  If you want a piece on an anime that's only on Crunchyroll, that'll cost $10-$15.  If you want me to write about Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose or Kuon then you'll need to take a trip to the money vault, Uncle Scrooge.

I might be willing to do a commission at a cheaper price if it's something I already happen to have, in which case the money will cover the labor .  You can make an educated guess that I have games like One Piece: Grand Adventure, Bleach: Dark Souls, Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ or Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage 2.  If you try to lowball it, thinking I have the game, there's a chance it'll be enough.

 

There are some rules about what can be requested, however.  Please keep these in mind before making a request:

• If it's a game, it must have an ESRB rating.  That means no Europe-only games like Limbo of the Lost, pornographic games in general and no fan games.
• Other requested media such as anime or manga must also have been distributed officially in English at some point in time.  No fan translations.
• I like to keep an open mind and I understand that it's funny to pay people to do something far out of their comfort zone to the point of ridiculousness.  I'll review Barbie games if you pay me.

I don't mind weird requests every once in a while, but if I review too many otome games or farming sims, the title of the blog will start to become a lie and I will begin rejecting those requests.

 

If a request doesn't follow these guidelines or I'm unable to fulfill the request for one reason or another, the money will be refunded.  If you believe a commission is taking too long, like if you're having me play a hundred-hour-long RPG or watch Inuyasha from beginning to end, you can refund it within 30 days.
